8 Maintenanceandfaultrectication

8.1 Maintenance

If the instrument is used properly, no special maintenance is required

in normal operation.

8.2 Rectify faults

The operator of the system is responsible for taking suitable meas-

ures to rectify faults.

A maximum of reliability is ensured. Nevertheless, faults can occur

during operation. These may be caused by the following, e.g.:

Measured value from sensor not correct

•

Voltage supply

•

Interference on the cables

Therstmeasurestobetakenaretochecktheinput/outputsignals

as well as to evaluate the error messages via the DTM. The procedure

is described below. In many cases, the causes can be determined in

thiswayandfaultscanberectied.
